Approach

I believe each child is special and has different needs. I have helped children between the ages of 6 and 18 who have varied levels of ADD, ADHD and severe learning disabilities. I spend an hour with each child twice a week, working on specific learning problems that s/he is facing. These problems change as the child grows and matures, so my syllabus and approach changes to meet his/ her requirements.

I start by formulating an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each child. I then lay out short term and long term goals and create a curriculum that works towards these goals. I also encourage multi-sensory development in my teaching.

For parents:

I ask each parent/ guardian who is interested in providing remedial help for their child to call or email me to set up a one hour face-to-face initial meeting. If we are both satisfied that this approach will work for the child and you, we can proceed to the next step of scheduling weekly sessions.

I believe your child is your responsibility first, hence it is up to you to ensure he/ she gets the best attention possible outside the classroom by formulating a child-friendly program. I keep parents informed about the child's progress regularly and strongly believe parental involvement and feedback are vital.

Your child can become a confident and well adjusted individual in society with your help and understanding. I am here to guide you and your child towards this goal.
